00:00:00] CORY: [00:00:00] Welcome to the impactors podcast. I'm Cory Carter

[00:00:04] RON: [00:00:04] and I'm Ron. Cool.

[00:00:05] CORY: [00:00:05] And we are the owners and founders of hindsight hacking media agency, podcast, funnels, graphics, and more head on over to get hhm.com to learn more

[00:00:15] RON: [00:00:15] guys, we created this podcast to help you go create an impact today. Not tomorrow, not yesterday. Today. We're taking all the fluff, all the BS out so you can go create an impact.

[00:00:32] CORY: [00:00:32] And today's topic is

[00:00:33] RON: [00:00:33] visibility knowing your offer.

[00:00:36] CORY: [00:00:36] That's right. Ron, anybody out there, I hope you listened to yesterday's episode because it was all about knowing who you serve. And  once you know who you serve, what problem you're solving, then you can start to know what your offer, but Ron. How often are we finding people to not know there offer,

[00:00:57] RON: [00:00:57] uh, all the time, [00:01:00] all the time. Like people think they know their offer or think what they want to have their offer is in their mind. And as we talk them through, we find a couple of things. One it's not completely baked, which is fine. But the second thing is they've probably missed something in the talking point that they could have focused their offer on. Right. And more importantly, if they've skipped that point and they don't feel comfortable with the offer that they're doing, but they're close. Like that's when we started having those conversations of who do you want to serve? Why do you want to serve them? What's the pain point. What's the problem. Like all that stuff is so important to really understand your offer and having us come together.

[00:01:44] CORY: [00:01:44] Yeah. Yeah. But I think another piece that puzzle that, that people struggle with is understanding the difference between a product and an actual offer. Right?

[00:01:55] RON: [00:01:55] Yeah.

[00:01:56] CORY: [00:01:56] So we've been able to work with tons of people where [00:02:00] they have a book to sell let's say you can go to Amazon, buy the book for 1995. well putting that book on a website and having it be sold again, that's a product it's not an offer.

[00:02:13] RON: [00:02:13] Right.

[00:02:13] CORY: [00:02:13] So, so Ron, how does one to really understand the offer when it comes to, I have a physical. Product, I am serving. I'm offering I'm giving or selling. Right? How do they go from one physical product, like a book to offer?

[00:02:27] RON: [00:02:27] Oh, super easy. What other things do people need or want when it comes to a book? Right. So for me, am I going to ever sit down and read a book Cory you know me. I have a bookshelf over there. There's a ton of bucks. Guess how many times I've opened those any of those. Zero right. Zero, zero times. If you're not watching, you're listening there is a big goose egg on both of our screens so understand the person, like, I might need to hear what you're saying. So you could easily, like, if I went to a [00:03:00] free book offer, I might want the book. And if I click that, because I want the book, if there's an audio recording, I'm buying the audio Cory. Right. And that's an easy $30 to record it. Like if I had to choose, I would prefer to listen to the person that actually is the author reading it to me. Right. Cause then that, that actually connects me with you more and we've helped people do this and it works. Right. So that could be one. If you have a live event or another other older program, you can easily put that in there for a lower price. You have a past program that you've used, you can put that in there for a discounted price or a different membership or anything else. There's so many different things that you can add on to that, but it's mostly what is the next step, right? So I liked the peanut butter and jelly conversation or the, you know, you go to the store and you get peanut butter. What do you need with peanut? W probably jelly. Okay. So now I'm going to go and jelly because it was offered to me. As soon as I picked up [00:04:00] the peanut butter. Now I have peanut butter and jelly in my cart. What do I need to make this a thing? Well I need bread? Right. So now I'm going to go get bread for my peanut butter and jelly, you know, and there's a ton of things you can go from there. Plates. You want paper plates. Fantastic. I'm an offer that, you know, at some point they're going to say, Nope, you've fulfilled everything I need from your offer. Thank you so much. But it really filled everything. I was looking for everything checked the box and I was able to move forward.

[00:04:27] CORY: [00:04:27] Yeah, 100%. And, and now again, would you go to Amazon and buy a book? Or if you saw the person's website and you got the audio book and you got the peanut butter and the jelly and the bread, I think wouldn't you rather buy all of that, that for the same price as the book. Right. And so as the person that's giving it, you would also mentioned the key thing, like a training you've done in the past. Right? Like find a way that obviously it's gotta make sense. It's got, make, be part of that same journey. You can't [00:05:00] truly have a book about entrepreneurship and then part of your offer is peanut butter, like it doesn't work. Right. But if done any training on entrepreneurship and your book is on entrepreneurship then guess what? It, doesn't take you more time to give somebody access to this training, but then if I'm buying the book, I'm going to be more excited because I'm going to get the book and I'm going to get the training for the same price as the book. Right. And so finding a building an offer, that's probably one of my favorite things to do with people, right? Because you literally get a nitpick and find out what all do they have, what can they do that doesn't. Take more time.

[00:05:36] RON: [00:05:36] Right?

[00:05:37] CORY: [00:05:37] Right. Like it can be on a physical product, like a book, but the ultimate piece is when you and I do business intenses with folks, we figure out and we go through and we're like, okay, you've got this service that you want to sell and you want to sell it for X amount. What are some of the things to make it more attractive that won't take extra time. Won't take more of them. And I love doing that. And [00:06:00] so again, know your offer. If you want to coach people. What all are you offering within that coach? If you have a physical product, what all can you offer for that physical product? Maybe it's something that you bundle, right? Like maybe I'm buying scotch tape. Well, instead of selling one, can I get three for a discount? Right? Like there's different aspects to them. Uh, so I think it's important that people actually truly understand their offer and if they don't have enough, What should they do Ron?

[00:06:28] RON: [00:06:28] They should call Corey like literally. It's a joke from another show, the Arno following us, why not any who any who connect with us? Like we help people through that process all the time. I mean, literally I was going to tell a story, as you were talking about the BI our last client that we had do a BI was a client from us before, but she's launching this new brand and we're like, okay, well we think it's time that we do a BI on this because, you know, we inherited her from her past brand and past life and she goes, okay, [00:07:00] I'll do it. And she took X amount of time to do the BI thinking. It was going to be an hour long form to fill out that we asked her to fill out, but there's a ton of thinking and questions that we ask and we repeat the questions purposely different ways to really make you dig into what you trying to do and took her a couple of hours to do. And then we were on the phone with her, for what, three and a half hours nailing this thing out, and nailing it out. And

[00:07:25] CORY: [00:07:25] that was a little longer than we wanted to go

[00:07:27] RON: [00:07:27] Yea normally normally we are a little more dialed in, we're dialed in to two hours but you know what her thing is going to be amazing and it's really going to help her just amplify her voice in a way that she hasn't been able to do yet. And that's nothing special that Corey and I are done. We've just done the process enough with multiple people that we have a very clear understanding and path and framework to walk yourself through that.

[00:07:51] CORY: [00:07:51] Yeah, so moral of the story, actions you have to take. Have an offer.

[00:07:56] RON: [00:07:56] Yeah.

[00:07:56]CORY: [00:07:56] I don't care if you're selling a service, a product or whatever, you should have an [00:08:00] offer with it to go along with it. If you coach somebody, you don't just say, Hey, I'm coaching you to be better at something. No, you work through the details of what you're coaching, what you're put in there. And you've got to have an offer. So visibility, you got to know who you serve. You gotta know your offer. And, uh, I think that's it. That's it for today.

[00:08:21] RON: [00:08:21] That's it. No BS, no fluff.

[00:08:23] CORY: [00:08:23] All right.

[00:08:24] RON: [00:08:24] Go make an impact
