[00:00:00] CORY: [00:00:00] Welcome to the impactors podcast. I'm Cory Carter
[00:00:04] RON: [00:00:04] and I'm Ron. Cool.
[00:00:05] CORY: [00:00:05] And we are the owners and founders of hindsight hacking media agency, podcast, funnels, graphics, and more head on over to get aig.com.
[00:00:15] RON: [00:00:15] Guys, we created this podcast to help you go create an impact today. Not tomorrow, not yesterday. Today. We're taking all the fluff, all the BS out so you can go create.
[00:00:32] CORY: [00:00:32] And today's topic is
[00:00:33] RON: [00:00:33] visibility and branding.
[00:00:36] CORY: [00:00:36] Uh oh, uh oh,, Ron branding. We, we asked to talk about something that it's a little near, near to your heart today
[00:00:44] RON: [00:00:44] and I love it.
[00:00:45] CORY: [00:00:45] All right. So oftentimes we hear people say, you don't have to be branded don't waste your time on a logo. All those things. And the negative aspect of it. What, what is your [00:01:00] response to someone doesn't need a logo?
[00:01:02] RON: [00:01:02] You're right. You know, I mean, if you really don't, however, if you're trying to have a business and you want to attract people and actually have it more than a hobby, guess what you should have, you should have everything put together nicely in a brand. So you're coming across all the time and across all social platforms and across your funnels and your everything. Very put together.
[00:01:27] CORY: [00:01:27] Yes. So wow. Branding, right? Like why I'm a non branding guy. I don't understand. Like, just give me some angles and put my name on it and I'm good to go. Give me a color. Right? Like tell me why, how important is it.
[00:01:42] RON: [00:01:42] It's super important. So let's take a brand that everyone knows. Okay. I'm going to use Starbucks. Cause I always use Starbucks. Right? What is Starbucks? It's coffee. People don't even say coffee anymore. Their brand is so big. They've taken over a drink. I'm going to go get Starbucks. [00:02:00] What kind of Starbucks? It doesn't matter. It's a drink, Kleenex and tissues. Right? Right. I don't even like, it's a tissue, but it's a Kleenex, even though I don't think we even buy Kleenex, I still use their brand in the branding because it's taken over the product.
[00:02:18] CORY: [00:02:18] Right. So the little guy that doesn't have. A bunch of money that doesn't have a ton of clients. Why is it still important?
[00:02:27] RON: [00:02:27] Because you won't always be the little guy. You won't always be the person that doesn't have clients. If you are starting a business, you need a business name you needed. And for us, who are you impacting? Because we will help you put everything else together.
[00:02:43] CORY: [00:02:43] Right.
[00:02:44] RON: [00:02:44] We'll put together a brand book we'll be super specific. We talk, we can talk you through it. There's a huge questionnaire. And what, what you like, what you don't like, how you want to come across, what the perception is that you want people to feel when they see your brand. Right? So when they see hindsight [00:03:00] hacking media, what's the K Corey want to do? What do we do with it?
[00:03:04] CORY: [00:03:04] Uh, it is backwards,
[00:03:07] RON: [00:03:07] It is always capitalized too. If we type it out, it's always capitalized because that's just part of the brand, why many reasons, which we're not going to go into on this show. There's reasons for it. That's part of the brand. And now it's about being consistent with the brand.
[00:03:25] CORY: [00:03:25] Right. You know, and another thing. Got the little severance, right? Like that's part of the brand. And that leads me to another question, a question that leads me to another question about brand blending. I fell like this is important because you and I have multiple different things. From the impactors podcast to the impactors mastermind to hindsight hacking podcast and our hindsight hacking media, a hindsight hacking media agency that we have, right? Like there's, but there's [00:04:00] still elements everywhere you go that will blend it together. How do you do that? And why do you that.
[00:04:06] RON: [00:04:06] this is how I do it. So I look at the overarching brand, which is hindsight hacking media, the parent company of everything we do. Right. And it's, it's got the orange, which ties into hindsight. hacking It's got the Chevron's with ties into a couple of our other programs. Right because we moved it, the colors might change. Right. We have the VTS that implement some of the colors. And we've talked about that a lot in the BTS program where, what colors symbolize, what in our philosophy. Right. And then there's the fonts or the imagery are very similar across. If you go to get hhm.com or you go to follow.cool, you're going to see the similarities right out the gate. Right. So you can instantly tell one is part of the other.
[00:04:51] CORY: [00:04:51] Right. And even you just mentioned VTS are visibility, traffic and sales coaching program we've had at the end of the day, [00:05:00] guess what? People are going to see the V right here. Right? Like it's all ties together and you know, so somebody starting today, they don't have to, they don't have to do that. The, uh, logo as we mentioned, but if you can, you should right if you can, and we help people launch podcasts. And this is why I think it's important. You can go to anchor and do things for free. You can go to Fiverr and get something made for cheap, but we help people launch with authority under the charts without fail every single time for their podcasts. And then more important importantly for this conversation. Because of the professionalism that they show when they launch people get other monetization type offers from the day they launched their show. People ask them, how do you do this? Can you speak on a TEDx stage? Or can you speak at a summit? Or can we do business together right from day one. [00:06:00] So why not be branded? Professionally from day one, especially with, it's not going to cost you an arm and leg, right? Like find a way to get branded.
[00:06:12] RON: [00:06:12] Yea guys don't get hung up on the logo. Like seriously, don't waste all of your time on trying to create this or put it together. I'd talk about a story that I helped. One lady put together, her podcast cover art and she, I put together, I was like couple hours later, she had her thing and she was really happy with it, but she was nice enough to leave a review and said, I spent three weeks agonizing and trying to design this. And Ron did it in and out. Right. Understand what your time is worth, understand where you're trying to go find someone that can do it faster and better than you. And then just keep moving forward. Don't get stuck trying to get that logo. And that's why people tell you don't worry about the logos or the branding because people get [00:07:00] stuck there.
[00:07:01] CORY: [00:07:01] Right. Right. And so find out who the help, if you aren't good at design like me. Find a way to find somebody that can help. And there's so many people out there, again, we can do it. This is not a pitch. Like if you don't want to use us, don't use us like somebody out there can do that. And so don't get stuck because ultimately whatever you're offering and whoever you're serving, you need a way to talk to them. That's way more important than a logo. But you still need a logo. You still want to be professional when you go talk to them and they ask, okay. Yeah. Where's your website for too. So I can see what credibility and you don't have a website. Guess what? You may be able to do word of mouth credibility, but you need a website. I mean it, hands down every website then needs to look professional. Right? Every design needs to look professional. And so again, it seems back to, you need to brand find a way to blend that brand to your social media platforms, to your [00:08:00] websites and everywhere you're at. And at the end of the day, having all this stuff, it's not that hard to find it, the right who so action step of the day, do you have the logos you need like an, are they professional and does it, is it consistent amongst all your stuff from social to your websites?
[00:08:21] RON: [00:08:21] And guys, If you have that, make sure you have a brand book or brand board, and we can help you with that. It's just a feel of what you want your brand to portray out in the world. Right? What's the imagery, what's the feeling that people are going to get when they see that it's important. So, yeah. As always or no BS, no fluff. Just impact. Go make one
[00:08:44] CORY: [00:08:44] and Ron. I don't think you can mess up your own taglines.
[00:08:46] RON: [00:08:46] No I can!
[00:08:47] CORY: [00:08:47] I'm just saying,
[00:08:48] RON: [00:08:48] Hey, I'm real. I'm real.
[00:08:50] CORY: [00:08:50] All right. Thanks guys.
[00:08:52] RON: [00:08:52] Bye.
