[00:00:33] RON: traffic and working your way in
[00:00:36] CORY: that's right. Ron our week long conversation about traffic. One of the topics that we really wanted to touch on today was and first. Is the work your way in that is really, that's what you and I do that is added. That is how we run our business. We will work our way into so many different things. And so, uh, let's talk a little bit about that. [00:01:00] This is on the organic play. We do this for clients. We do this for ourselves, but working your way in, what are some of the strategies that we use to find those organic folks?
[00:01:12] RON: Oh my gosh. Well, one. You have to find where your people are. You have to support those people.
[00:01:17] CORY: Ooh, Ooh. I wasn't even going to go there. That is, I can't believe I hadn't thought of that. That's a good one. Right there.
[00:01:22] RON: Support those people. in said places. They are without expecting anything in return. Right. Just give it freely. And if you're like how I was. That's uncomfortable. It's just, I'm just gonna say that. Okay. So that's one, find your people support them, get visible with them. So we've talked about visibility, right? How do you get visible? How do you get in there? But you find your people, you keep helping them supporting them there. We've been in groups and people have said, Hey, do you only work with X group [00:02:00] owner? Or can we hire. Well, we didn't work with X group owner. We were just supporting the group in such a great fashion not expecting anything in return. We just knew the content and we're like, oh, we can help this. We can help this. We could help this. And we were in the group. So why not give back?
[00:02:17] CORY: Yeah. And that's so Facebook groups specifically, that is one spot to work your way in. Right? So if a Facebook group has a hundred people, a thousand people, 3000, 10,000, whatever the number is, if you go in and give it a value, if you go in, okay. When somebody asks for feedback, you give feedback, right. Or when somebody is like a challenge, there's a group. When there's some kind of challenge and there's homework involved and you actually go and have fun with it. Right. And you support the others that were doing the homework, right? Like those are all ways to work your way in with a Facebook group, you know? And another one that we talk about a lot, because, you know, we love podcasts, but work your way in, on other [00:03:00] podcasts audiences, right. By doing interviews, by getting involved in someone else's show, but then another piece Ron and I think people fail at this a lot. Is promote the episode that you're on. Right. If you're a guest on someone's show, go promote it when it comes out. Right. And so for you and I, we, we make a lot of stuff that we can have our. guests go promote if they so choose, but that is one way to work your way and promote the show that you're going to be on. And even if you don't have the fun graphics, you can do little things that don't cost anything, but it does. It goes a long way for you, the podcast hosts, and then guess what same goes to their office. So obviously Facebook groups, that's the big thing to work your way in and go have fun and support lead with value, lead with support first. That's what you said. I love that. And then the podcasting, right? Like those are just two easy ways that it just takes a [00:04:00] little bit of time. It doesn't take any money.
[00:04:02] RON: Right? Well, and you can even go. And do a live on your own Facebook, the live on Instagram, like that costs you zero money. You don't need any graphics help. You just need your phone, which you have and you need to push live and just start talking.
[00:04:15] CORY: Yeah. So work your way in. We may sometime do seven episodes on working your way in. Um, but, but for now here's the teaser to the traffic week and work your way in is the first. Conversation that we're having about it. And honestly, I think it's the most important go work your way in lead with value. And, uh, you never know good things can happen, especially if you're not just in it for yourself.
