You see Ron and Cory both did not plan to be in sales at all but when you have your own company you have to make sales. So they found "the" way to do this even if you hate sales. [00:00:34] RON: Sales happen.

[00:00:35] CORY: That's right Ron. We get to tell a little bit of a story of when we first launched our company and how we never once thought of ourselves as sales people and, uh, so Definitely like we got to tell the story. I think it was Rachel and you were talking one day and all of a sudden the realization came like, oh yeah, I am a salesperson. [00:01:00] I don't want to be a salesperson.

[00:01:02] RON: Oh my gosh, this is hilarious. So for people that haven't listened to the show or listened to our other show, uh, Rachel and I have worked together in the past and, and we've all taken these personality tests at work right. And every single personality test I've ever taken says, I should be in. sales right, but I don't want to be in sales. Like, it's just not something I want to do. And so, you know, we started this online thing and we started working for ourselves and we were sitting at the table and out of nowhere, Rachel said, don't you think it's funny. Thank you. Think what's funny. She goes, all these years, you were told to be in sales and now you're in sales I'm like time out. I am not in sales. Why would you even say that I am on sales? Right. And, and she goes, you're absolutely in sales because you talk to people, you do, you pitch them something and they buy it. And I go, yeah, but I'm not, I'm not selling. Them. I'm just offering a [00:02:00] service that have what they need. She was right here as a salesman. And I was like, oh, that's painful. That's painful.

[00:02:06] CORY: Yes. I love that story because I mean, it hit both of us. And, and I think the moral of the story, the reason that we wanted to talk about it today is because. We run our business. Like we understand how we are salesmen. We understand that now. Um, we are very adamant. Like we're going to go sell without selling. We're going to go, just put our offers out there. We're going to go and hear people that have a pain and that we have a solution for. And then we just make the offer, right? Like it's never a hard, there's never any used car salesman. It's never anything. Like, I don't feel like a salesperson. I just know like, Hey, if you're going to launch a podcast, I know we can help. And I know we can do it better than anybody else. Right. Like, it's just, that's just like, it is what it is, but I'm not selling like, oh, if you want to do it yourself, go for it. You want [00:03:00] someone else to help you go? I know we can help and we can do a better job. Like, it's just kind of a matter of fact, but there's no sales process out there where out there making and building relationships first foremost, and finding out what people's pain is before we ever offer the solution.

[00:03:19] RON: We get out more value than we ever tried to pitch, which is why clients come to us, knock on wood and thank God. At the end of the day, that's why our current clients refer their friends to us or people that need help. Cause they know we're going to take care of them. We're going to do right by them or not going to be the people that you pay into something. And then, boom, there's another offer. That's like 16 times more expensive. That's not us.

[00:03:49] CORY: Yup. Yup. All right. So why don't we want to talk about this today? What's the impact that we hope to let someone have with this information today

[00:03:59] RON: [00:04:00] it's okay. To not be a salesman and start something online. that sells something. It's okay. It's okay. Because if you do things for the right reasons and you have other people's intent, like other people's feelings, intentions, everything geared towards them. You'll be fine.

[00:04:18] CORY: Yeah. And just, know if you have your own business, that has something that someone has to buy, then you have to do some kind of sales, right. So it's up to you, the business. To decide, how do you want to do those sales? Do you want to be the used car salesman? Do you want to be the door to door salesman, right? Or do you want to just go and build some relationships and then provide your solution to anybody that actually needs it

[00:04:44] RON: True statement, true statement.. So guys remember no fluff, no BS. Just impact. Go make some.
