[00:00:34] RON: sales. How many touches does it take?

[00:00:37] CORY: Oh, that's right, Ron. It takes a lot of touches that's for sure. You know? Uh, we've heard it. We

[00:00:42] RON: wait, wait, wait. I've got to, I've got to interrupt you. You know what? Nevermind. Well, you're reminding me of that owl licking the tootsie pop

[00:00:52] CORY: how many licks does it take

[00:00:53] RON: how many licks anyway? How many touches?

[00:00:56] CORY: How many touches? That's right. So on average it takes what the [00:01:00] average sale seven touches with the normal consumer. Right. And so that could be, you know, you see a billboard and then you see a commercial and then, you know, you see an ad on your email or whatever, right. Until you hit the seven, before you consider buying something, right. So we have been in a program to our sales game for gosh, almost the last 10 months now. Yeah. And the whole reason we got into this program is because it is relationships first sales second, and the, the amount of touches is 32 touches before a sale happens.

[00:01:38] RON: Painful.

[00:01:39] CORY: It is painful if you think, oh my God, I just need this.

[00:01:42] RON: Right. But if you're just going about your day 32 touches isn't a big deal, how many times do I see you on zoom a day? More than 32 probably,

[00:01:51] CORY: two more, too many,

[00:01:54] RON: right? I mean, but if you think about it, if you're doing things the right way, And you're learning about [00:02:00] the person and you're understanding how you can truly help them. Seven touches is not enough.

[00:02:06] CORY: Yeah. That's what I've come to that conclusion as well. Seven touches is not enough. And I guess, depending, right? Like you get some people that do a great webinar that you already appreciated, that something they were doing before and you spend 90 minutes with them. Like that's a different kind of touch, but if it's the flash. If it's the one communication here, one communication there, super fast stuff. Like seven is not enough. So if you have a system that can automate. Things, right. If you have a system that can automate say 25 of those touches before you ever get involved, I mean, that's a pretty killer system, but I just want everybody to realize like, there's ways out there, whether you do something with us, or do something with someone else. Like there's ways out there to make the touches easier for your business. But then. It boils down to relationships.

[00:02:58] RON: Absolutely. And we've helped a couple of our [00:03:00] clients exactly what this process and it's actually working for them where they're building the right relationships. They're finding the right people and you know what it's translating into sales

So, so my question to you, an action step to others is do you know how many touches it takes to make a sale for your buisness and then along the way, are you having to be the one responsible for every single touch? If you answered yes. To being responsible to it all like, how can you adjust that?
