[00:00:34] RON: intentionality. See, Corey actually just picked that word because it was a big word and I never go first on anything we do except this show. And so he's like, let's give Ron a big word because grammar would be hard for him.
[00:00:48] CORY : Well, you could have broken it down and said be intentional, if you wanted to but intentionality is fun. It's fun. alright Well, what do we mean by that everyone? With your podcast, right? Like we've, [00:01:00] we've talked about how consistency is key. We've talked about how to have a mix of solos and interviews and being the subject matter expert on your, your own show. But, but today being intentional with your content and being intentional with the direction that you want to take your show and who you're talking to on your show and all that fun stuff. Right. And so the piece that right, like Ron and I if and anybody that is listening, they might've heard seven straight episodes with the topic of visibility. Right? Visibility is something that you and I talk about a lot. So therefore we were intentional with the content that we put out and guess what? We are in the middle of going through seven straight episodes about podcasting, because podcasting is what we do all day long, every day, it's all about podcasting. Right. We are intentionally talking about podcasting and some of the different aspects of it, even though there's these short shows like running that I can probably sit up here for [00:02:00] about 40 hours and talk about podcasting and all of the little details.
[00:02:04] RON: We have been a part of over what 4 million downloads now, which is crazy, right.
[00:02:09] CORY : That is a crazy number.
[00:02:10] RON: And we've helped hundreds of people launching get on the charts. We're a hundred percent. On the charts for every single person that we helped launch. So, uh, I can consider us subject matter experts in the podcasting world.
[00:02:24] CORY : Absolutely. All right. So being intentional, so often we hear people questioning whether they can do a solo episode because they're there, they don't know what to talk about.
[00:02:34] RON: Yeah.
[00:02:34] CORY : So how does one find a way of being intentional? What their content that they're given,
[00:02:41] RON: they turn on.
[00:02:42] CORY : That's a good start
[00:02:43] RON: guys. I mean, think about this. Think about this there's reality shows. Why are the reality shows? And just on a side note, they're not really reality. Like they're scripted. Like if you think they're reality, that's a different conversation for a different day, but put bullet points of what you want to talk about, your [00:03:00] tribe, your people that you're helping your people you're impacting. Want To hear from their leader. And you are the leader of said groups, I'm going to share something that one of our current clients did the assumptions about me podcast, that was fricking phenomenal. I loved it. Right. She had a bunch of it. She put, give me your assumptions about me and I'll answer live. And it was a podcast. And so all the 20,000 plus people that follow her gave her all these assumptions. And there was a couple, as we were going through it, I was like, yeah, now I can see why that right. And she either agreed or disagreed with them and gave the world so you can ask your tribe what they want you to talk about. You can share your back story. You can share an interesting fun fact about yourself right. But you can talk about anything because they're your tribe of people to stay within the wheelhouse of [00:04:00] your core values.
[00:04:01] CORY : Yea 100% And so Ron, how can a fun fact be part of my core values people might ask. Right. And so I just wanted to answer that real quick. All of us need to talk about ourselves a little bit for our audience. Like, I mean, why would they listen to us that they don't know anything about us? So I'm Corey. I am a married guy with two kids. Like I'm a family. I love my own bike. I mean, this is fun, right? Like we will be intentional when we actually have a push episode about. Our fun likes about our stuff, right? This week with the no BS, no fluff, we're talking podcasting. Right. And so, but how does one become intentional? How does one figure that? And it is to plan
[00:04:46] RON: plan. Plan.
[00:04:48] CORY : That's it? If you're unsure what to talk about, write out what your business is, write out what your show is supposed to be about. I guarantee you have some topics. Once you write down the topics, it's easy to start it. [00:05:00] If you just say I'm going to go hit record and that's it, you'll probably have a lot of dead air, but if you plan out what you want to talk about, I guarantee you, your show will have content because when you hit record, you'll start talking.
