[00:00:33] RON: what if your offer is not converting?
[00:00:37] CORY : That is right, Ron. This is a fun subject because I, I hope people understand after we're done with this conversation, that their first instinct that a lot of people have is probably the wrong one. So. What if an offer is not converting, Ron go.
[00:00:56] RON: All right. Two things go in two different directions. One be thankful [00:01:00] you didn't spend a ton of time on the pre-stuff and get everything done before. Right?
[00:01:04] CORY : That's a good one. For sure.
[00:01:05] RON: That is one. You just realize the power of putting it out there to see what it's going to do. So that's number one, number two. It's probably not enticing enough. Increase the value. Don't decrease the price
[00:01:21] CORY : yeah. And then I want to add a third one. I want to add a third one. Cause I'm surprised that it wasn't the first thing you said, actually
[00:01:27] RON: it's going to be like no brainer. Once you say it.
[00:01:30] CORY : Yeah. Don't just pivot to a new offer.
[00:01:35] RON: Yes. Don't just pivot. Don't go. Oh, it's broken. I don't want to do it. Some things take time.
[00:01:42] CORY : Yes. And if you build, if you look at your offer and do what Ron said at number two, and that's increased the value, make small tweaks, make small adjustments. That is what you should start working on before you go and stop the offer completely. So, but [00:02:00] let's back up what you mentioned first about be thankful you didn't build it. And I think I don't want to gloss over that real quick, because that is important. And we've talked about this before, and that is. Sell it have an outline of what you're going to do, so you can have appropriate way of selling it. Don't build it until you sell it. Right. Can you expand it and on that, can you expand on the beauty of that? And even for our profits with podcasts program?
[00:02:31] RON: Yeah. Yep. So here we go. We're going to talk profits with podcast for a moment. So we have this idea.of what we wanted to do? Have an all-inclusive thing, take away all excuses, have someone just record it, forget it. We can help them launch it a hundred percent done for you. It was nowhere near done, and we started selling it because we wanted to see if it was something that would stick.. Right. So our first round, I think we had nine people. Yep. Right? That was awesome, except [00:03:00] it wasn't ready. So Corey and I would block out time either Saturday or Sunday to prep for Monday, for the week, because it was a weekly thing every single day. So the first round we built it with everybody. Okay. And we, we learned a lot as we built it, the second round, it was already built. We put some tweaks in it, the third round, it was just, it was done. You know what I mean? And now what, I don't even know what round we're on, but now we're revamping it again because we think there's a better way or easier way for people to do it.
[00:03:36] CORY : Yes. Yeah. And that, like, that was so key. We, let me rephrase this go before you sell it. And when we say don't build it, it doesn't mean just fly from the seat of your pants. Like,
[00:03:47] RON: No not at all,
[00:03:48] CORY : like go and you got to know and understand and have an outline of. What the journey is going to be, what the result is that you're going to give somebody and how you're going to get [00:04:00] them that result, right? Like that's gotta be outlined and you and I had that outlined before we went and built the offer.
[00:04:05] RON: Right.
[00:04:06] CORY : So we were able to
[00:04:06] RON: I remember sitting in your office and we mapped it out.
[00:04:08] Yeah. And
[00:04:09] CORY : then we sold it.
[00:04:10] RON: Yep.
[00:04:11] CORY : And then it was that Sunday and we're like, okay, week one, we need to accomplish X, Y, Z. So this is all the stuff. And we built a workbook, we built the training, we built the PDF set. It has everything had to do. We mapped out what the calls are going to be in built. The slide shows that went with that because there was live coaching calls.
[00:04:29] RON: Right.
[00:04:29] CORY : And then we took everybody through the journey for four weeks. Right. And we took all the feedback from that first group. And made the program better, made the journey better.
[00:04:40] RON: Right
[00:04:41] CORY : so, so anyway, number one of what Ron had said, don't build it right before you sell it, right? No, the journey I then go build it. And then number two, in increasing the value, right. Or, or adjusting. Right. And if you go pitch somebody, let's just say, we go pitch 10 people, two people buy, right. Like then [00:05:00] gather feedback. Okay. Why did those two people buy? What did they like about the offer? And then maybe the eight people. Why did those eight people not buy?
[00:05:08] RON: Exactly. You gotta understand both sides, right?
[00:05:10] CORY : Yeah. And so you, then you tweak from there, right? Like if you're missing something that the eight people that a lot of people are looking for, can you add it in, can you increase that value? And make it a more attractive offer. And number three, you've got to have enough data before you ever think about pivoting. And that's where people, I think struggle too much.
[00:05:33] RON: Yeah. Well, it's, we've seen it over and over and over again. People have left amazing ideas. That just didn't have the traction yet because in hour four, they didn't make a million dollars. I mean, it is like, that is no joke. That's, we've seen it. We actually talked to one person said. Please don't do it. Please don't do it because they were so much on the right track and his crowd was loving it and he just shut it down. [00:06:00] And if you pivot, you make people lose trust in you. If you're the pivoter or no, one's going to know what you really stand for. No, one's gonna know what you're really about. No, one's gonna know how you can help them
[00:06:14] CORY : right. And so if you have an offer, try to make that offer the best it can be and try to make your million dollars. When Russell Brunson talks about one funnel away, it's not that you're, you just gotta make the first funnel and it's going to be perfect. It's just, you've got to keep working until that one funnel is perfect, right? Like you've got to keep working until you have it dialed in and profits with podcast. Again, we've talked about a lot this episode, but we. Built a website that had a headline, a video, the offer stack. And then that was it. And we added testimonials as we went through different rounds and it wasn't until literally. Early August of 2021, that we've officially made it a good website that had [00:07:00] all the information
[00:07:01] RON: had all the elements, all the things you need for our website tell, you all the stuff you need.
[00:07:06] CORY : took almost a year before we went that direction to go and correct, clean that up.
[00:07:11] RON: but it wasn't the most important thing. And that's what people need to understand. The most important thing is getting your offer out there. The second most important thing is being there for your people to help them through the offer, to get them to the results you said your offer would get them. Neither. One of those is about stuff we do, which is branding and websites and all that fun stuff.
[00:07:28] CORY : Yeah, exactly. Exactly. So, all right. Action. Steps from today's from today's conversation.
[00:07:36] RON: What's a good action step for today.
[00:07:39] CORY : I mean, I have one if for you. If you're not ready.
[00:07:41] RON: Go ahead
[00:07:42] CORY : I'll take it. I'll take it.
[00:07:44] RON: You got it.
[00:07:44] CORY : Action. Step from today's offer is to look at your offer. Make it more valuable and then tell it, then go share it with people, right? It goes in line with the last few episodes, knowing your offer, making more offers, right? Like it's just [00:08:00] an add on that and then collect the feedback to keep making it better.
[00:08:05] RON: Yep. And I'm going to add to that after you collect the feedback, actually make changes and don't take it personal ooh, that's a good, don't take it personal. Don't take it personal. At the end of the day, you're building something for somebody else. Not for yourself, unless you're going to keep paying it. Over and over again, which you're not. So you're not building it for you. You're building it for someone else.
