Episode Transcription

[00:00:00] CORY: Welcome to the impactors podcast. I'm Cory Carter

[00:00:04] RON: and I'm Ron. Cool.

[00:00:05] CORY: And we are the owners and founders of hindsight hacking media agency, podcast, funnels, graphics, and more head on over to get hhm.com

[00:00:15] RON: guys, we created this podcast to help you go create an impact today. Not tomorrow, not yesterday. Today. We're taking all the fluff, all the BS out so you can gocreate an impact..

[00:00:32] CORY: And today's topic is

[00:00:34] RON: offers. We're going to talk Steve Larsen and Myron golden. And how. Those two play together.

[00:00:42] CORY: Yes. Yes. And they do play quite well together, but let's, this is the fun topic because obviously Steve Larsen for anybody that has followed us. you've heard us talk about him before anybody that's in our world. Maybe probably knows him more than us, but he is the offer guy, right? He is [00:01:00] known as the offer guy. And so this week. Us talking offers like, you know, we've got to give some props to the, to the mad scientists themselves

[00:01:08] RON: gotta capitalist pig. You gotta bring in Steve. Like he is one of the reasons we are on this crazy little journey anyway.

[00:01:15] CORY: Right. That's not about offers, but him yelling at us definitely is

[00:01:20] RON: yes, that's right.

[00:01:21] CORY: So let's dive in even a little bit, right? Like yesterday we talked about making more offers and all that fun stuff. And funny story. Add onto that yesterday, we talked, making more offers today. We said, we're going to make a few offers and we've already had two people sign up for the profits with podcasts launch program. And just like that, because we went and made the offer. Right. Kind of a fun, fun fact. Right. They're

[00:01:43] RON: let's go make more offers

[00:01:45] CORY: but Steve Larsen. Tell us, Ron, what's your take on, I mean, he's got multiple launch programs, right? Like offer launch and offer mind all his stuff is around offers. But tell us, tell the audience your take on Mr. Steve Larsen.

[00:02:00] RON: [00:02:00] Well, it's interesting. Cause I was going to go down a different path, but now this is coming to me. And, and this might be off the topic, but I want to talk about it. And, uh, so the great thing that Steve does is he is so in tune with the audience, he is continuously putting out feelers, putting out little tiny offers, and he also knows when to take away off. Right. So he's doing house cleaning, he's getting he's discontinuing offers like that's, that's an offer also. I mean, let's just call it what it is, right. That is an offer. Right. And it doesn't mean it's going away forever. It could be rebranded into something else. It could be added to that value stack that we were talking about the other day, how to add value to the offer one of these discontinued things can be added as value for an offer. And Steve is so good at doing all those things in a very genuine way that,

[00:02:55] CORY: yeah, I think, you know, something that he, I love about his aspect [00:03:00] of it, of his business is he digs deep. He is the quote unquote nerd of offers, right? Like he goes to a level of understanding so much greater than you and I put together ever will right. And we know pretty much, we know a lot about offers, how to structure them, how to build them and how to add value. Right? Like we know a good amount, right. Steve probably knows more in his pinky than both you and I together about offers. I mean, he studies marketing, he studies hobby.

[00:03:33] RON: Like Let's just call it out. That is his hobby. His hobby is to study offers.

[00:03:38] CORY: Yeah,

[00:03:38] RON: that's his thing. It's his passion. It's his, and it shows up in what he does. Right. You know, I know we talked, I think it was yesterday show where we talked about his add on value offer to click funnels. Right. Because he's so good at understanding what the gaps are, how to add value to the gaps and how he can separate [00:04:00] himself from other people's offers,

[00:04:01] CORY: correct? Correct. And then he's a good teacher, right?

[00:04:04] RON: Oh yeah phenomenal

[00:04:05] CORY: so when he is dissecting things, it is value and it is of itself because of that, uh, aspect of him teaching it and talking about it and having a podcast. And again, when he worked at click funnels he started a podcast because he was told to publish just like we were told to publish.

[00:04:23] RON: Right. Right.

[00:04:24] CORY: And then he was able to leave that job and go and start to make multiple seven figures again and again, because of publishing and then finding his niche of the offer world. So, all right. How does Myron golden play? Well, what's in this Steve Larsen mix

[00:04:42] RON: we are gonna use a baseball analogy. Right? Right. So there is a cleanup, right? The fourth batter is cleaned up. Right? So you load the bases, you put your best hitter at number four and he he's the closer he kicks it out of the park, whatever. Or [00:05:00] your ACE pitcher is your closer you bring them in at the eighth or ninth inning to close out the other team, you know, when that closure comes out like it's over like usually the other teams, like dangit here comes to closer. Right,

[00:05:14] CORY: right.

[00:05:14] RON: Because they're that good then? They, they don't miss Myron is the king of re-pitching like we've, we've seen it. He'll come in. He adds his own little value, but he pumps up the previous person and helps you understand the value in such a very unique way. That he compliments and we've seen him do it with Russell Brunson. We've seen it too. I've seen him do it with Steve Larsen and like he not only has his own offer that he does, but he is such a passionate person around helping people. And that shines through when he's doing this quote unquote re-pitch or this close that we're talking about.

[00:05:53] CORY: Yeah. Yeah. He, he definitely is all about the, I'm gonna tell the audience why [00:06:00] they understand the offer, why it's important, why they should get it and then make the re pitch for it. I love that aspect. It is so unique to see it. Uh, well, maybe it's not unique, but it's so fun to watch it, right. Even if you're not going to buy, you know, you're not going to buy it. It's still fun to watch him, you know, make his take on that and seeing it at click funnels seeing or Russ funnel hacking live. I've seen it with offer. Mine is such a unique thing. But You know, and then to anybody that if you follow Myron golden, I mean, he's got a, I think one of his first books was the trash man to the cash man. And he is known for that because of making more offers, right? Like fastest way to a million dollars, figure out how much your offer is. Let's say it's 5,000 and then you figure out, okay, if I'm going to sell it to 10% of people, then you know, I need to make that many offers to until I hit that million dollars, right? Like he does that type of math. And then he just goes and makes the number of offers that he needs, right. To actually make the money that [00:07:00] he's looking to make. So you and I, Ron want to make $40,000 in profits with podcasts program. We've had this conversation today,

[00:07:08] RON: had to get 80 people..

[00:07:09] CORY: Right. It was 80 people. If we did it at the discounted rate or 40 people, it fits at the full price. Or if we raise the price, it's 20 people, right? Like it's all these numbers

[00:07:19] RON: or it's one person

[00:07:20] CORY: or it's one person. That's a, that's an expensive program, but we know the number. Okay. If we, if full price, it's 40 people. How many people, if say 10% are going to buy, do we need to offer it to get that number, right? Like now we know that, and then we had that number and then we immediately went and pitched. I think we, I pitched three Right. And we got to two sales out of it. I mean, that was like 33%. That's pretty good. Good. Start from that number.

[00:07:47] RON: That's right.

[00:07:48] CORY: So making more offers, study what Myron golden does, even if you're not buying from study, how he's making more offers to people study what Steve Larsen does. He understands the [00:08:00] audience. He understands the whole thing with what an offer is and can go into it to differentiate oneself. So my last question then what can someone do today?

[00:08:11] RON: Go make an offer.

[00:08:13] CORY: Something's not right.

[00:08:14] RON: Just go make an offer. Like you have to ask for the offer. You have to ask for the sale, like any salesperson knows you will never get a sale unless you asked for the sale. You cannot be afraid to put the offer out there. The absolute worst thing that could happen is no one buys that's absolute worst thing that can happen. And I promise you, I promise you kind of speaking from experience that is not the worst thing that can happen.

[00:08:39] CORY: Right? Worst thing is if one person buys, but that's another conversation for another day, so,

[00:08:44] RON: right.

[00:08:44] CORY: So at the end of the day, know it know who you're serving, know what's you're solving. And then once you have that ironed out, go make the offer. You don't need a funnel. You don't need a podcast.

[00:08:56] RON: Our highest ticket are. I need people to listen to this, our [00:09:00] highest ticket. Item that Corey and I have ever thought about pitching or offering sold out without a funnel, a website, a way to collect money. People were like, yes, here you go. And we were just invoicing them. sold out

[00:09:16] CORY: Yeah,

[00:09:17] RON: we got one. We wanted to sell 10 cause it was a hugely done for you deal. Uh, we sold 11.

[00:09:24] CORY: Yeah. So just go make the offer people. That's the moral of a story. Uh, but if you want to learn about offers, obviously start with Steve Larsen, Myron golden, two people that we look up to in regards to all this. So thanks everyone. We appreciate you listening, watching, being a part of this world. And I don't know if you've seen in the show notes, but impactors mastermind.com. go check it out
