Hindsight HacKing was joined this week by Heidi Anspaugh. She is a Copywriter through and through and has spent the right amount of time mastering the art of copy writing to drive traffic and increase conversions for your offer.
The fun story Heidi shared with us though about her trip to Funnel Hacking Live is pretty epic though. We wanted to share it below…
“I did it last February when I got a free last-minute ticket to FHL and then funded the whole trip in 48 hours...
When I wanted to join Copy Accelerator Lite so I could go ALL IN on mastering copywriting and push myself into a whole new income bracket....I needed to come up with $1329 quickly.
I did it by selling sales funnel copy at a low price that I'll never sell it at again...
So I'm in now and the magic is still happening...
Within one day of signing up for CAL, I had just 24 hours to apply for one of 60 jobs paying $1500 to write a long-form sales letter. If chosen, I get paid AND have the chance to be one of 3 final selections to get copy chiefed by Justin Goff and Stefan Georgi and possibly have the owner run my sales letter and be hired for an ongoing gig.
Result: Busted out 3 applications in a day, and one was chosen. So I'll get paid $1500 once I turn in my final draft, which means I made my money back from joining CAL in only one day.
I also applied for a gig with a $5K monthly retainer (+ bonuses) writing copy for a really interesting, unique product. They are also offering to cover the monthly cost of CAL for the person they end up working with. This is a HUGE opportunity...so of course I applied right away. I've so far made it through the test copy selection process and 2 rounds of interviews...next step would be a paid test project. So worst case scenario is I get paid something and end up with a great sample for my portfolio.
I am still following up with Offer Owners hiring copywriters who I got the opportunity to network with virtually during Copy Accelerator Live
There are more job opportunities posted in the group than I can even keep up with...which proves that I have no excuse not to go after opportunities to not only get paid more but cover the cost of my membership every month
SO WAS THIS THE RIGHT DECISION?! HELL YES!!!
When you find the right opportunity to invest in yourself and your business and it’s the right thing to do, you know it.
When you go for it, and it pays off almost instantly...that's just further proof that it was the right decision.
Even better...I went from feeling burnt out and uninspired and unsure of what to do next to...
Fired up, motivated, and hungry to test the hell out of my current skills and see how fast I can grow and improve.
